this is my latest, little 13" oil painted cloth doll "Poppy and her rag dolly"

Im working on gourds, gotta switch it up every once in awhile or i get burnt out..so i finished a polar bear gourd, and a starburst design gourd. in the middle of a couple others...its hard to type while a have a cat on my lap , but Mr. jones is so sweet

she is 1 seated 14" , oil painted cloth baby doll. She wears elastic legged and waisted bloomer/panties , a yellow floral print cotton dress, and wool felt hand made jacket and booties , that i have decorated with blanket stitch and needle felted flowers to match her dress print. Her bonet is cotton pale yellow stripes with needle felted floral rose and leaves to match also. Elizabeth haleys hair is a super soft sun dyed yearling wool. She is singed and comes with a description tag. She is available for sale

First of all, I have to post a funny pic of my cat "Devo" He is such a ham!

I have been determined to do more sculpting lately, so here is my progress so far , on new projects, two dolls in the making and a relief sculpt on a very large gourd, the larges I have ever worked on.

this is really silly, But i forgot i had a blogspot! I am not real good at using it and so now im going to try and learn more about it also..It is a beautiful sunny day out, and i have been staying inside (dumb!) but i need to work so i have been sculpting and sewing..got a few things i should post photos of also..lets see!!! my pic of Devo kitty laying with my little felties : )

Jsut finished, "flower" she is my latest jointed, all cloth , fully painted Asian baby doll. Her name is Flower, and she is about 17" tall, made to sit, carefully applied hair, painted on socks to match her outfit, that i also designed and made out of hand dyed cotton, and batik . she comes with the little dolly shown with her. And this is my latest doll, im working on. the booties will be painted on and her face will be oil painted...

It's been very hot out here, today is in the 90's, and we dont have air conditioning in our two story house , which of course my studio rooms are on the second floor..ugh..but I have been listening to books on tape and working away anyways...I designed and made a all cloth painted Bald Eagle yesturday, just had to get it out of my system,..I think he turned out pretty cute, ina primitive folk arty way.

this is my latest 23" ooak oil painted cloth doll now on ebay, she took me a long time to put her look together, she evolved as i went along, but I really happy with how she turned out. Her hair was a slow process of laying down tiny braids for corn rows..her name is Marissa..

well, I have been oil painting alot lately and in the middle of several dolls and some needle felting. these dolls are on or going on ebay and so are the needle felting..Ive been staying home and playing with my animals : ) , and working!!

And here is Megans twin sister Maya, she is 15" full oil painted cloth baby . dressed in vintage gown and bonnet made out of a vintage linen handkerchief. her hair is Tibetan Lambs wool also. She has seperated fingers and stitched through toes. She is detail painted on her chest and belly. Megan is a 15" tall full oil painted body, baby . She has Tibetan lambs wool hair, seperated fingers and stitch seperated toes, cotton tabbard top and elastic waist and legs on cotton diaper bloomers. Her jacket is yellow polar fleece, edged in blanket stitch, with matching booties, all designed and hand made by me also. she is signed and comes with a description hang tag! Her twin will be available on ebay soon too!

im so excited , I got a rescue kitty today! i went to the humane society to see a cat on their website named snuggle bear, but it was being fostered. the foster mom said she would bring it in for me today and it was love at first site, this is a 13 lb brown tabby that is all love, my 3 year old lab Bucky loves Snuggle bear too! and tries to kiss it all the time! here are pics!

This is the latest gourd I'm working on, actually I started this last year and couldn't finish it due to other orders i had. This is a tall vase gourd, and has lots of painting and relief carving . also a little marble inset at the top of her outstretched hand..i hope to have time to finish this soon!

Here are a couple of dolls im working on that are from very old patterns, i love the look of the vintage cloth baby dolls and just dolly dolls! i have them dressed in vintage clothes too..they are almost done : ) and then the other picture is of a doll I designed that is printed out on cloth then sewn up , like a lithograph doll, she is then colored in by hand. this one will be available as a kit soon on http://www.suesizemore.etsy.com/

I was having trouble getting this pulled together, but I think i finally have it down , a little anyways! I have been working on a large doll order and still have a few orders to do, but i took a break and finished some gourds I have been trying to finish. I finally got them done!
